Rooted in the heart of the Smoky Mountains, Kuwohi Coffee Company needed a brand identity that captured the spirit of its surroundings while standing out in a crowded coffee market. The challenge was to create a look that felt authentic to the region, celebrated its mountain heritage, and connected with both locals and visitors. Something that felt less like another coffee shop and more like a piece of the Smokies.
Approach:
Inspired by vintage national park artwork, retro travel badges, and the iconic landscapes of the Smoky Mountains, we developed a bold, nostalgic identity with a modern edge. Warm sunset oranges, earthy browns, and deep mountain reds create a rich, inviting color palette, while custom-inspired typography and an illustrated mountain landscape give the brand a distinctive personality. The iconic Kuwohi observation tower anchors the design, creating an unmistakable connection to the place behind the name. Every detail was crafted to feel timeless, adventurous, and unmistakably Smoky Mountain.

The result is a memorable coffee brand that blends mountain heritage with a fresh, contemporary attitude. Built to stand out on everything from coffee cups and merchandise to signage and packaging, the new identity gives Kuwohi Coffee Company a cohesive visual presence with plenty of personality.
